1st class all the way....
 

Well, I finally collected enough miles for a first class ticket LAX-HKG-SYD-HKG-LAX. This will be in few months time, but I'm so excited already that I have this need to know all the details now.
Will somebody tell me what to expect from the moment I check-in to the moment I step-off the plane back in LAX 2 weeks later. Will I be treated differently since this is an award ticket? Anything I should know? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just get ready to be pampered once you are on the plane at lax. Everything that happens up to that point should be ignored as unrelated to the joys of CX first.

Only 52 more days until my CX First Class experience begins!!! DFW-LAX-HKG-SYD-MEL-HKG-LAX-DFW

I only have 2 worries one is the flight out of LAX #881 it keeps changing from a 74 to Airbus. It is difficult to keep changing seats based on the plane. I have given up and we will just wait until we arrive in LAX to find out what plane we will be on.

My second is the ride back from LAX to DFW we will have to suffer AA's FC service plus on a S80. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif I just wish AA would quit changing our times from DFW to LAX or LAX to DFW so far I we have had 4 changes to date but, we still have over a month to go. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

i thought the LAX flights are always 744

CX will start to use an A346 on CX880 HKG-LAX and CX881 LAX-HKG. I believe A346 service on this route will start as early as 2 January 2003.

I don't expect CX880/CX881 to have dedicated A346 service just yet. Hence, there are bound to be substitutions with the 74J and 74B on various days of the week.

Having taken CX many times in first, I can say that you are in for the treat of a lifetime. ENJOY!!
