Reserving a Cabana

Can someone post how to reserve a Cabana at the Wing in HKG. Can it be done if you are traveling coach?

Thanks

u need to fly F or be a OW emerald for teh cabana.
i almost always got to use the them without reservation.

Cabanas are on a first come first served basis. It's basically a large bathroom... so there really isn't much one can do in it when you're done washing. The lounge chair isn't good for sleeping either...

You need to have a First Class onward boarding pass or have an Emerald OW card to enter the First Class section of the WING.

The PIER has "Dayrooms" which are nice, but a tad claustrophobic. But you do get 'room service' on this one. No phones though!

What is the room sevice in the pier?

Can anyone really appreciate The Wing if they've been to SQ's Silver Kris at SIN? It's noisy, drafty, has limited connectivity, and a strange restauranty thing for nibbles and drinks. And not an orchid in sight. Not that I particularly prefer SQ over CX, but they sure know how to do a lounge.

the design of the wing isn't that good, the 'river' is esp stupid.
but the restaurant and cabana pulled it to the top

Can't imagine someone about to get on a first-class long-haul on CX needing a restaurant just before takeoff.

When you have a 9am or 10am flight, and leave the hotel at 7am, a quick bite before boarding is pretty nice.

But I do have a minor gripe in that I couldn't find any internet-connected PC's in the FC section of the Wing. Ended up going over to the BC side of the Wing to use the computers there. Seems to be a bit of an oversight.

The restaurant is in the CX Lounge. All food, drinks are compliemntary. Some people may opt to dine here and sleep onboard when you're on an overnight flight. Some things you can't get when you're in an aircraft - like freshly cooked noodles!

The Wing has several notebook PC that you can borrow, too. You have to go to the BC counter, though. But you can use it anywhere within the lounge, wireless.

Good to know for next time.

It's not a major hassle to walk over to the BC side of the lounge. Just thought they could have put 1 or 2 of those PC's in the FC-library instead of having all 4 of them in the BC side.

I love the restaurant in the CX F lounge. I'll get to the airport early, have a bite to eat, a bath & beer in the cabana, and then a nap on the recliner. By the time the flight takes off and the meal sevice starts, it's time to eat again. CX know how to make travel feel luxurious.

It can also be nice to eat before getting on the plane so that you can sleep once you board. Other flights are too short or have oddly timed to have full meal service.

To me the CX lounges are the very best in the world, although I've not experienced the SQ SIN F lounge since 1994.

Another thought:

F passengers shouldn't feel confined to the F part of the Wing. The J part has some nice facilities including the PCs and long bar. The other passengers in the J part don't bite!

I have a 15 hour stopover at HKG and would like to spend some time in the Cabana. Are they meant for one or two? My wife will be there with me and we want to sit back and relax for some time after spending some time in the city. Can a couple fit in comfortably or is there only space for one? Is it even something we should consider or totally out of question?
