LOCKERS NEEDED IN HKG LOUNGE
I just returned from HKG a few weeks ago and was really impressed with the lounge.
The only damper to this was the fact that I didn't want to leave my briefcase unattended in the storage area, with only a cammera watching it. CX Should really put some lockable storage bins in that area! |
i agree with you. on the other, i had never seen locker in any lounge, and never heard any theft compains. i guess people do not want to risk going into prison while traveling ;-)
but if u r in the F lounge, they have a conceige to check you bags |
I also don't like leave my baggage in the storage area, since someone took mine, most probably mistook it for his or hers a long time ago.
If I remember correctly, I think I used a locker at one of AA's Admirals Clubs in DFW last year. The relatively new one. |
BA/QF have the same type of set up as CX in HKG but with a few lockable compartments at head level. You have to ask for the key, but it's available for the asking!
Maybe some of you living in or passing through HKG can stress this to the CX longe supervisors! |
Next month, my family and I will be going through HKG for one night. We are in FC and I would love to leave my son's car seat overnight in the Wing.
Does anyone know if they will accept the carseat at the FC lounge entrance and let me pick it up the next day? With strollers, bags, grandparents, one less thing to worry about would be great! |

Last time I was in the wing, one of the attendants took my bags and gave me a claim check for them.
This seemed reasonable to me... |

yeah.. CX definitely needs lockers in their lounge.. I remember Lufthansa having a few lockers at their Senator lounge in FRA... they were really quite useful, especially when you want to go walk around the airport and not lug all your carryon with you

Off topic, I admit ....
I was at SQ's KrisLounge in SIN a few days ago. They also have lockers for both business and F sections. I just put all my baggage there and went out of the airport with a passport in my wallet. (I just wanted to go to a hawker centre.) Upon returning to the airport, I realised I left the ticket in one of the bags! I went to a SQ check-in counter and humbly asked what I could do. The kind agent told me not to worry. He issued me a dupe boarding pass just to go through the passport control. (He said there are some passengers like me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif .) Oh, by the way, NH now has a new lounge at the satellite part of Terminal 2 at NRT. They've also got these lockers. (They are far better than the generic lounge for TG passengers. If you are flying TG and is in the satellite, you should definitely go to the NH lounge.) [This message has been edited by Chiangi (edited 09-20-2001).] |
