PLEASE HELP!! No Cathay Availability to Sydney??
 

Hi, I am fairly new to this, but I am trying to fly from SFO to SYD on CX via HKG using Alaska Miles. I am able to find some availability for First from SFO to HKG but for some reason for the leg from HKG to SYD I just absolutely CANNOT find ANY availability on Cathay Pacific at all... when searching on BA or Qantas.

Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss some obvious step?

Please HELP!! Desperate for any assistance or insight!

FYI, CX doesn't operate F to SYD.

I know, but I was hoping to use my AS miles to book RT SFO to SYD, with SFO to HKG as First and HKG to SYD as Business.

But I cant even find availability to SYD in Business.

I hope it makes sense to not just myself that a route can legitimately sell out?

When do you want to travel?
Premium awards to Australia are often very hard to get
CX also fly HKG-MEL, HKG-BNE and HKG-ADL

Looking at the AS award chart CX are your option Asia to Australia (not QF)

I believed he is using miles?
For us in MPC/AM, we can hardly book SYD during hot seasons as well.
