Which lounge is best in BKK?
Flying Royal Jordanian as Cathay DM out of BKK. Should I use the lounge provided by Royal Jordanian or go use the Cathay Pacific lounge?
Also, just realized I'm in a whole new situation. As DM I'm able to take in two guests but does that only apply to Cathay flights? If I'm flying OW flights am I only allowed one guest even when I am Cathay DM using a Cathay lounge? Thanks for the answer. |

Forget about TG.
Technically you can only bring 1x guest since you are not flying CX...but they may let you in if they are in a good mood. |
There is already a discussion about BKK lounge options here:
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cath...ne-2015-a.html TL/DL: CX if you want bubbles/pad thai. JAL Sakura if you like Japanese curry. Note the opening hours. |
JAL Sakura if you need to shower.

I dont think JAL Sakura Lounge will an option at your departure time, doesnt it close during the day as they dont have flights at that time? I could be wrong on that one but thought that was the case. The CX lounge can get busy especially when they have multiple flights going out. I know lots of people rave about the CX lounge and it is nice but personally I dont see any reason to get to the airport early to enjoy the lounge. I would spend more time in they city and less time in the lounge assuming you are starting your journey from Bangkok that is.

The JL lounge is open from 05:40 to 09:45 and 17:55 to 00:25.
So it's OK for the AMM departure after midnight, but not an option for the afternoon flights to HKG and KUL. |

Thank you all for your help. I'm traveling with family so would like to find a nice lounge to settle in. We are all in C class so the RJ lounge will be no problem. We do have extra family member (if only +1) then I guess we'll just head to RJ lounge.

TG lounge used by RJ is really mediocre.
if you all travel in J then try the CX lounge. At busy time, they might impose a capacity constraint for RJ pax. They are a three minutes walk one from the other. |
I find the BKK lounges to be Blah at best. I usually end up checking out the CX, JAL and Miracle (PP) lounges while I'm there.
The only thing the CX lounge has going is the Noodle Bar- Other food options are terrible. JAL Does have Curry and Steamed Rice Options and "Fried Chicken" .. The Miracle Lounge has a pancake machine and haagen daaz ice cream.... All are basic IMO.. But most comfortable IMO is CX |
