cheapest qualifying flight for miles

does anyone know what it is? i'm trying to take advantage of the ba 5000 miles bonus for 4 cx segments.

What CX fares are eligible for BA EC US (presumably the one you're enrolled in?) You can fly JFK-YVR 2 R/Ts. The lowest published ex-JFK fare is over US$700 once taxes are included, about US$350 going the other way (ex-YVR). $1,000 for some 15k miles doesn't sound so good.

I guess you could always fly a cheap intro fare to YVR (as low as US$256+tax) on AC, AA, TW or HP and get the 5k bonus and some 15k in flight and Q miles for the same. Still a bit expensive.

Otherwise consider JFK-BKK, KUL or JKT

The other option is to go to Europe to do your 4 segments.

Fares to the UK are relatively cheap. ANd then from there (Manchester), CX has traffic rights between Manchester and Paris and Manchester to Amsterdam. You can buy your discounted ticket at any UK based Manchester agency. As CX only has two flights a week to either of the two cities respectively, you might be able to get a steal on it.

Sorry to ask a question instead of providing an answer ...

Can you provide add'l info or pointers about the BA 5k mile bonus for 4 CX sectors? Thanks,

now i remember, it wasn't from a website, but a mailer i got from cathay in hkg. it gave a limited window like november to february. if you flew 4 flights you would get an extra 5000 bonus miles. unofrtunately, i do not remember if these flights were to go into a ba or cx account.

anybody else receive this letter?? help!!
