Op up question
I have question regarding op-up order
Assuming an SL travels in PE and all DMs, GOs, OWE and OWS in the original PE cabin have been op-up to J ahead of him. Prior to flight departure, assuming that a DM has been op-up from Y to PE, will the op-up DM trump the SL in the event there was another slot for op-up that open up, or will the SL be the next in line for op-up? |
Happens all the time. Hence the occasion report of 'double opups'

I think the more likely scenario is that the SL in PE would be upgraded to J, rather than the DM from Y who was already upgraded to PE.
I don't have hard facts to quote, but this is based on my experience and observations over the years. Of course if Y/PE are really oversold so much, it's of course possible that DMs in Y may sit in J (double opup), but I think it's rather unlikely that would happen before all status pax in PE were upgraded first. |

Are we sure that the much publicised DM-GO-OWE op-up order still works?
I've been on many flights -- especially ex-TPE -- where my SL colleagues are upgraded to W or J before me (GO). |
Double Op-UP 10h prior flight not so long ago ex-SGN, from Y to J as a OWE
