The website is playing up again?
I've been trying all morning to book a flight and keep getting errors at various stages of the process.
Why is cx.com so unreliable? :td: |
Happened to me too this morning. Random error messages for no good reason. Trying to book ex-TPE ticket....
1. Wouldn't let me choose HKG as a destination on my return flight (TPE HKG HND HKG TPE) 2. Closed Chrome, tried again ... it worked. Then error message after choosing second or third flight. Flight is in 2016, so I'll wait a few days and try again. |
The website is playing up again?
Had this the last couple of days- ended up calling in for 2 tickets.

Yes
1. Couldnt upgrade flights...internal error restart browser...still not working until today after n-times restarting and rebooting. 2. Couldn't change I-class tickets....according to the system the booking class does not allow rebooking.... 3. Buying a ticket....got charged but ticket remains unissued. |
The Cathay website was complaining that Java Script needed to be running.
Firefox runs Java Script by default. Resolved in about ten minutes Happy wandering Fred |
I can't log in to http://www.asiamiles.com. I got
Error 500: org.springframework.web.util.NestedServletExceptio n: Request processing failed; nested exception is com.tc.object.OutOfResourceException: Server is full. |
|
I have encountered all these issues both yesterday and today. Ended up calling in to book my ticket... Really frustrating.....!

The English expression is "acting up".

After a few redemption searches, it decide to get stuck in an endless lop with a screen that says it needs to verify java or something similar. I have already substantially reduced my flights with CX this year, and this definitely isn't helping. Ended up booking on a different airline this time (revenue ticket).

Yes - was wondering what that Java thing is about..a quick google search pointed to another website that had the same issue & their admins pointed a finger towards scripts on their page to make life harder for scraping software.

I had the same "Validating Javascript" looping error three days ago. I would sometimes get quite far with the booking process but after trying different browsers and even a different laptop on a different network, I concluded it wasn't an issue my end but with the website.
Anyway, having got right to the stage of entering my credit card details only to get the error again, I gave up, moaned about it on twitter, and was going to book with BA. Same (great!) price but not the exact route I wanted. However, just when I was sighing and getting ready to do that, two emails arrived: A booking confirmation and an e-ticket. So the booking did eventually go through. I find it odd that a large company can have such online issues for days, taking out their eCommerce system. I couldn't get the same price via a consolidator so it was only fluke that they got my sale. As a Londoner, playing up and acting up both apply to CX's website :D |
I finally got it to work today by using Firefox. Had no luck with IE or Chrome due to the looping java verification error.

CX's website is indeed full of bugs lately. Like many posters have already mentioned, I also got that nasty loop of javascript validation. I tried different browsers and different laptops, nothing works. finally i had to call them and make the booking over the phone.
Then I went to manage my booking. First it mentioned CX360 was operated with A333, then I selected my seat but I noticed the J class is 2-3-2. A couple of days later, MMB showed CX360 was operated with 773. Then it changed again to 772 with 2-3-2 arrangement. Two days ago, I went to MMB again and found that my seat reservation was gone and that the system cannot retrieve my booking. Today, I found that CX360 is now operated with 77H. I need to mention that it still shows 772 as operating aircraft. Only the seatmap shows 77H It feels like playing musical chair lol |
