Is the chief executive flying on Cathay?

I just suddenly have this question: Is the CEO of Hong Kong flying on CX for business travel?

Not that I know of CX chief executive flying on CX but just input another chief executive.... 1st Chief Executive of Hong Kong Tung Chee-Hwa did fly on CX from HKG to SFO on July 27th, CX 870

Yes, he takes commercial flights on CX and KA...

Yes. Earlier this year I was in 11K and he was in 12K on a flight to LHR.

Not top level secret as he was photographed by the press in the UK shortly thereafter.

He was polite, quiet and most people on the plane probably didn't know he was on our flight.

I guess this means that he didn't kick your seat?

Yup. I think it would have been more appropriate if they kicked me out so that he could sit in 11K and his police escort in 12K.

But I think he (or CX) didn't want to cause any possible complaint (or feeling of favoritism / special privilege) especially in this political environment - and with the Jetstar / 3rd runway issues.

I was on the same flight once as Donald Tsang when he was CE, a KA flight HKG - BJS.

More recently, Rita Fan was on CX347 with me, not many passengers so she moved forward from 12A to 11A and spent the whole flight playing Candy Crush on her tablet. I even helped her get her bag down from the overhead locker when we arrived.

i imagine theres a lot of incentive for all elected members to use CX as much as possible...

Surprised he doesn't fly Air China really. That would be much more patriotic.

They shared the same seat? Is that even allowed?
