Waitlisted ticket would it get confirmed ...
 

Hi,

i have booked tickets through Asia Miles and return ticket is confirmed while the travel date ticket is not confirmed but is in waitlist for economy class can you all please suggest if people do really get confirmed when ticket is in waitlist stage... and if it does not get confirmed will i loose my mileage and also shud i have to book tickets again online which wud cost me more?

Booking itself does not cost you any miles until you ticket (any segment). However, I did automatic ticketing before (when seat was ready, the upgrade was ticketed).

Whether your waitlist can be cleared depends a lot on your segment, the cabin, the date, and your Marco Polo status. If you must travel, I would recommend getting a revenue ticket instead.

If you must travel, I would book paid tickets.

When are your travel dates and from where to where?

Your miles will only be deducted when your flights are confirmed and ticketed. Booking on line or through phone centre would cost the same.
