Earning club miles/sectors by taking code share flight

Hi friends,

I just got a question.

If I take a CX/KA/Air China code share flight but it was booked from Air China website, will I get club mile/sector?

Thanks,

CX/KA code on CA flight or vv?

The flight has to be marketed and operated by OW airlines to be eligible for club miles and club sector.

CX metal on CA code or CA metal with CX code both earn you only Asiamiles.

You will earn club miles if you fly on, say, JL code CX metal flight, given that it is an eligible fare class under JL (not CX) in this table.

For Marco Polo club miles/sectors, OW marketed flight must be operated by OW carriers.

However, CX market flights can be operated by any airlines, as far as I know. For example, CX flight operated by CA, WS (Westjet), FJ etc do give you both club miles and asia miles.

And AA coded, AS operated flights get you both club and asiamiles as well.

CA code on CX or KA metal: no Club miles / sectors, AM only.
CX or KA code on CA metal: Club miles / sectors eligible.

This is correct.

Hi,

I did a LAS>>>SFO run on an AS flight in Nov bought as a CX codeshare. Have not seen miles and club points posted. Should I drop a retroactive mileage claim?

CX flight LAS->SFO does seem to be listed in the MPC Point earning overview. Select CX as airline.

So, I guess, you could give it a try.

CX coded flight on AA metal earns at CX Club Point / AM rates.

CX coded flight on AC metal earns at CX Club Point / AM rates in theory. This is what MMB showed but I didn't actually get any points or mileage credited so I've submitted a retro claim which is still pending as of now.

How about JL flights, marketed by AA, will I get MPC points and AsiaMiles if I credit to CX? Tried finding posts on this but nothing came up. Thanks.
