CX transfer desk in BKK
 

hi All,

I am traveling in a few days from BKK to LAX with CX. flight leaves BKK at 16.35. I plan to arrive on Lao air (QV) out of ZVK at 14.45.
Do I need to go through immigration, check in and then again pass immigration or is there a transfer desk where I can check in and just stay in transit?
As usual nobody picks up the phone at the airport.

I'm traveling with carry on only!

There was a post on this board in the past (I think it was about BKK and not HKG, where they've definitely done this), where they even managed to retreive and re-check baggage that was not through checked.
