I reached out to Cathay and the Marco Polo team and they are doing their best to get me my new Silver tags by the time my flight departs. Having my bags green tagged would be inappropriate for someone at my level.

I commend you for investing your wealth in getting Cathay Pacific to open their own Business class lounge at JFK

That's lower middle class in HKG. Flash the Vertu phone, AP watch, your address in the Mid levels, have your two drivers, one with the Mercedes to pick up the luggage, and the Maseriti for you to drive to Central. Then we'll talk. LOL.

Oh, and don't disturb my sleep in F class. I don't want any meals. Just let me sleep.

Thats mid middle class to me. You should be clad in a bespoke Gieves and Hawkes Suit, with a Jaeger Pink Gold Grande Complication Tourbillon on the wrist. I should see you in the bay area where your apartment is, and with your DBS already prepped by the valet on arrival, with your mobile security team in the front and back of your vehicle.

If that's not met, speak to my assistant.

Seriously, spouting so much jibber jabber will not help in getting genuine answers to your query. (And yes I'm talking to you, OP!)

This is highly inappropriate for me to engage in a conversation with someone at a level below me. But as a CX GO I think sitting in anything other than First is rather tacky. Btw do you get jet lag? If so it means you’re not well travelled and you may want to cough up the money for J. Excuse me while I toss out my Macbook with a Retina display because I’ve engaged in a conversation with a person below my level. Time for a new laptop, this one is contaminated.

When did they make a Macbook with Retina display? :p So where should a DM or above sit if GO has to sit in F :D

This is what I call wealthy and deserve a complimentary status from CX. But then I doubt he needs one since he has private jets and even if he has to fly commercial, it will be in F so status doesn't matter much.

So OP have you contacted MPC regarding status match yet?

My manservant had the day off so, no, he hasn't called them yet.

Speaking of Apple products, I had the iPhone 6 at my front door on the day of its release and the Cathay Pacific app (if you can even call it that) it brutal.

Are they working on a new one? Or is there a special Silver app for Silver Marco Polo's that they'll be sending me?

That's an interesting question, though to be honest I don't spend much time thinking about the pathetic lives of lowly DM members.

As a Diamond XXXL Plus member (in fact, as the only Diamond XXXL Plus member), CX specially converts the crew rest quarters into an exclusive EY-style private residence for me, with my personal choice of cabin attendants fulfilling my every need.

They also go around the plane looking for any Silver members with double tags on their bags, and force them to polish my shoes overnight in advance of arriving at the destination.

You may be a Diamond XXXL Plus Member but my team of CX ISM’s has just informed they are upgrading my status to 10 Karat VVS1 D-colour, Princess cut Diamond +++++++. Its because I flew F from JFK to HKG 12 times this month. They can no longer use a Diamond tier to distinguish me from the low Silvers with double tags. Rather they have to distinguish what kind of Diamond my card will be. There will be no luggage tags because they’ve dedicated their 747-8i to deliver my baggage to my destinations prior to my arrival. Matter of fact they’re considering possibly reconfiguring the F cabin to a whole private apartment. Instead of SQ suits, it’ll be CX Apartments.

You must be getting confused after consuming all that bubbly. CX doesn't have the 747-8i. Perhaps you meant you have a BMW i8 in the hold of a lowly 747-400? Eurgh...

We've all had a laugh, the original question is answered so I'm closing this thread.
