While I applaud CX/KA for taking safety first and grounds the fleet to do what was necessary to ensure safety (although trying to pretend nothing's wrong), but it is really appalling that this would happen in the first place. According to someone from pprune it was an Airbus maintenance directive that "slips through the cracks", my goodness....
