CX KUL Lounge

I know this lounge is nothing to write home about. But given the layout of the airport's (main terminal), would it be possible to arrive on CX 723/25, and spend an hour or so in the departure lounge while waiting for a friend to arrive on another flight? My final destination is KUL, not transiting.

Anyone have any experience?

The CX lounge is in the satellite terminal at KUL, not the main terminal.

Technically given the unsegregated nature of departures and arrivals, you will be able to get to the lounge. However, given you are not on a departing flight, whether or not the lounge receptionists will allow you in is a different matter.

Thanks - yes...my bad - it is at the satelitte terminal, which is also where CX flights will land/depart. I meant to differient from KLIA2.

That's what I was wondering...if anyone had any luck getting past the lounge agents?

In my view "waiting for a friend" isn't a good enough reason for CX to let you in the lounge. They run a business, and rightfully so; also this isn't part of their service at KUL.

Besides, there are nicer places to wait, like the noodle restaurant upstairs next to MH lounge... or simply take a stroll through the rain forest and the (somewhat limited) shops to kill the hour.

On July 4th I will fly KUL - PER and have a choice between the MH and CX lounges. I have never been to either. Any suggestions for myself and my travelling companion (who I guest in and is flying MH (KUL - MEL).

I assume MH serves alcohol during Ramadan - which to me is a plus :) Just wondering as the tix are paid for, yadda...

I prefer the MH Lounge - better offering in food and much larger than the CX lounge (although the CX lounge serves satay). And MH serves alcohol during Ramadan.

The food offerings aren't a lot better, but it's much less crowded.

Was in the CX lounge back in Jan. Besides the satay (and drinks), a pastry tart, and cup noodles, there's nothing in there.

CX KUL Lounge

Agree with KACommuter on the MH lounge in general- though the a la carte menu in the F section's dining room is quite decent, the Kapiti ice cream fabulous but the beverage selection exceptionally poor.
