Basic difference between Business and First Class

The flight is from Hong Kong to Paris, what is the basic difference between first and business, first is sold out.
This is a midnight flight.
Thanks for any info - I am sure this is listed on the forum somewhere, but I do not know the aircraft type.

Not sure if serious.

What is the difference between a Mercedes and Rolls Royce? :rolleyes:

VOH2OX2 Dec 11, 2013 12:51 pm

Very serious, I see they both have flat beds, it will be a sleeping flight, what are the other differences - short list
Thank you again, for any info. I am just trying to understand.

Methinks kinda gamey question as well......um......

1) About 2900 euros (r/t Jan or about 4 nights at MO Hong Kong, deluxe suite).
2) Bragging rights.
3) Officially ->http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_U...rst-class.html versus this http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_U...ess-class.html.
4) ...and unofficially of course -> http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/catha...gage-faqs.html

Thanks for all your help.

such...a strange question/thread

i would think a quick read over cathay's website would provide more than enough info on the differences between biz and first.

Spelling? :p

The big differences are the amount of space, and the "anything, anytime" service in F.

SeeBuyFly Dec 11, 2013 6:39 pm

Actually they are both basically the same, they both involve flying with strangers sitting nearby. A private jet is the only way to go.

I think a trip to the CX website will serve you better than here they also have video clips

Not sure why you will have trouble finding out what aircraft it is:

Aircraft Type

And difference in First and Business? Service and pricing I would say.

Lots of diff. You dont have krug in j. Perhaps the money saved you can get loads of things from hkia for ur flight's use tho. Obviously only if ure paying for the diff.

Less of a difference if you're flying alone as opposed to a couple. A couple can share a suite, with one sitting across from the other on the buddy seat/ottoman, for drinks and dinner. Very romantic, IMHO.

If the OP wants an insight to CX 261 HKG-CDG in First, I did write a TR section flown in January 2013
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trip-...l#post21331733

Never done J on that route, sorry :p

They serve J Walker Blue in F. Not in J.

Most people who can afford to fly F, don't want to eat or drink. Maybe just tea. They will go to sleep right away, and when they wake, will have a light breakfast.

That's what Maggie Cheung did way back in the late 90's when I was on the same flight as her between HKG-CDG.

I did get her autograph on a F menu though. :p

Guess I'm one of those lowly mortals who can't really afford F. I went into a self induced constipation for a week after pigging out in the F lounge and on the flight. Wanted to keep all the good stuff I ate for as long as possible.

That was a joke LOL!!!

One time I just had a bowl of noodles and a glass of orange juice before going to bed.
