Rats on a plane!?

Looks like a Cathay A340-300 (definitely an Airbus and the A343s are the ones still with herringbone J) with rats found inside.. Looks like they ate their way through some menus too.

I was on a flight with a rat/mouse on board (before take off) .... which they didn't find. Had to change to another aircraft.

CX was not mentioned, but we can see that its the herringbone seats and its an Airbus 340 / 330.

Jeez, big question is how did they end up in the darn plane.

Now lets hope this crap doesn't happen on other CX jets out there.

In the article: "Record: It is believed to be the largest number of rats ever discovered aboard a commercial flight"

Not really something CX would be proud of!

I guess it's better than snakes on a plane. However, this is disturbing not just the presence of rats itself, but rats are only attracted by food source. It really speaks about the catering services that CX uses, and rats are likely to be embedded in the catering services and then got loaded on the plane.

I am not worried about CX as in the planes itself, but now I am very worried about the Catering Services and the cleanliness of it.

Has anyone actually asked when these rats boarded?

They could quite easily have gained access during the refit / refurb process while the plane was parked up.

Everyone is assuming that the rats have their own MPO account and have been racking up the miles :)
