Since you've been asking here for availability checks for various routes/dates with some frequency lately, why not get your own subscription to a service? I consider the USD5 per month I pay for a basic ExpertFlyer subscription to be money well spent, and that way you can check availability whenever you want.

+1 especially when OP is a GO member. I'm sure the amount of flights he/she take is worth the $ in the long run.

And...at least bare minimum, OP can you please keep it to the same thread.

For you to book such a complicated itinerary, or like this one in this thread : http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/catha...ck-please.html, is most likely you booked through a travel agent. So why not just let him/her check up availability for you?

Or else, yes, sign up for ExpertFlyer and see the loads yourself. In hindsight, you do need to be MPO Gold before you can get the seat guarantee.

You can get this info without any subscription at flightstats.com

http://www.flightstats.co.uk/FlightA...areClassCodes=

On flightstats.com click on the flights tab and then select availability. Fill in the boxes, select the advanced check box and then click Search flight availability. Make sure you have entered the airline you want and the approx time of day of your flight. Click on the arrow at the right of your flight and you will get the stats!

i still don't understand why it is showing no availability but i can still book it on cathaypacific.com

also, is the guarentee economy seat only works for gold member only?

lets say if im travelling with someone else and we are on the same itinerary, can i use the benefits for both of us?

and if we are not on the same itinerary, lets say im booking for my friend, can i use my benefit for him?

Thanks

Is the OP trying to secure a V class fare? I'm sort of lost in the thread now either OP is trying to use miles to upgrade or is just looking for the cheapest available fare class?

Availability check please!

Originally I wanted to see the availability to upgrade
But now since a lot of people have mentioned I should be getting my own subscription to check the availability myself so I joined and want to know how it works

After doing a search with the tool it says it doesn't have any v class seat and the lowest fare is with k class showing as AUD 19xx but from memory I have seen it for AUD 10xx so I went to do a dummy booking and it came up with AUD 10xx on v class

I just want to know how reliable it is or how accurate the software and getting to know better with the system so I can do my own research

Here's the forum for you to ask for help related to these tools.
