You're only allowed access to T7's BA lounge when departure on CX flights. If you're taking a JFK-YVR or JFK-HKG flight, they will automatically print you an invite without asking. Your CX SL does not equal OWS. You cannot access other terminal's OW lounge.

Another way of thinking about this is that as a SL you get access to whatever lounge CX has designated for business-class pax at a particular airport before your CX flight. At some airports that will be fully CX-operated, at other airports (like JFK) CX may contract with another airline to provide lounge services for the flight. I do think the wording on the website, at least the last time I looked at it, can be a little confusing in this regard.
