(Year of the Snakes) on a Plane?
 

I got a promo email from Cathay offering me a (plush) snake (toy) if I booked a flight online originating in the U.S.

I know it's the Year of the Snake and Cathay's plush toy is really cute, but really. Hasn't anyone in the Marketing Department seen, or heard of, Snakes on a Plane?

I wonder if one's Cathay Snake will be a permitted carry-on item?

I must admit, I want one. But we already booked our Cathay flight for later this year, so no snake for me.

I would love one. Asked them to hook me up since I have a CX flight in 10 days but no dice as per their Twitter team :)

They offered this during Chinese New Year last year too.

And it must be booked on cx.com / USA or Canada. Don't think it works for HK's website.

LOL ... yes, it will be permitted as a carry-on item. I got one (dragon) last year and planning to get one (snake) next week. You can buy it for $11 in the months around CNY.

They've been out for a month now, my kids love them.

There is only one or two per flight, so ask early if you want one.

LOL ... which flight was that? They didn't have any on board CX798 on the 10th (I ended up getting one on CX830).
