Any chance I'd have access to the lounge, arriving in RJ J and departing BA Y, all in Terminal 2A?
Customers flying in Economy class on a domestic or intra-European segment to connect to or from a oneworld longhaul First or Business Class flight can also use the lounge applicable to the class in which they are travelling on the longhaul segment. |
A few photos of the lounge are here

I was not aware that a new lounge was being built but headed over here anyway as it's closer to my BA gate than the Admirals Club. All I can say is WOW!
I've got a great view of SV, EK, AF, AA, VN, CX and BA aircraft from my Solus chair with a glass of champagne. ^^ |
Writing from the lounge. Truly nice, and even magnificent compared to the previous one. They even have a true noodle bar with selection of wonton, dan dan noodles and pho.
Sad there is no F class lounge, just biz. |
Going to be in CDG next week. Just to confirm 100%, can BA Silver(OW Sapphire) flying economy on BA use this lounge and bring in one guest?

This lounge is really good and the catering quality is also good especially the French desserts. Made to order noodles and pho. Also some hot dishes

An excellent lounge. Don't forget the chicken curry, ala thai style, was great too!

Picture Reviews
Hey guys,
I have actually taken an extensive amount of pictures of this lounge, both the facilities and food offerings, for those who might be interested. LOUNGE FACILITIES FOOD/BEVERAGE OFFERINGS Though the posts themselves are not in English, but they are picture-oriented so hope you can enjoy them! ;) cheers |
I have just used the CX Lounge at CDG and must say I am very impressed! The lounge is beautiful, has everything you need (champagne, noodle bar, good food selection) and a calm atmosphere.
It also has great runway views - perfect! Going to try the AA lounge which is right next door - just to compare of course :) The AA one had a very poor choice of food and drinks and did not have the same calm atmosphere as CX! aks120 |

I assume that you have found (like me) that the AA lounge is inferior in all respects, especially food/drink offering.

Very early on a Sunday, food looked pretty unappealing overall. Buffet of eggs, beans, potatos, cocktail sausages , congee, yogurt, pastry, whole fruit, cold cuts (turkey was nice though).
AA lounge significantly better with quiche, egg tortilla, better bread and cold cut selection, salad, fresh fruit salad. Everything in the Cathay lounge for food is also at AA lounge except congee. liquor is better at CX (no champagne at AA) but not like the last time (several years ago.) when they had high end cognac (Camus XO maybe?). |

I actually didn't realize the lounge was open at other times than around the CX flights. I guess perhaps CX is just collecting rent checks from other OW fliers on other metal. If that's the case, I've seen a similar situation in other lounges, where the operating carrier offers superior catering prior to their flight (essentially catering to "their" passengers) and has a significantly worse layout at other times. |
