I waited for Singapore 8-10/12 last year since getting a wedding invite in January and it took me til September to clear that (plan B was Jetstar, but I needed the suitcase for the suit...) People are starting to return to Hong Kong by then, but there are also some returning to Australia. There is also HK Sevens on 6-8 April, but you are flying the opposite direction. I would think that PEY ->J upgrade redemption will be easier, but chance is still slim.
