N class??

Am waitlisting on an award Y tic TPE-HKG so checking the inventory quite frequently.

On expertflyer, it's showing Y9 B9 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N9 Q0 O0
However, when I called MPC, the lady told me that the flight is flatly overbooked in Y.

What does N9 mean then? I thought it's a discounted Y class but then how come all the other discounted class tics are gone but N class still showing 9?

Expertflyer is not 100% accurate with real-time availability with some carriers.

Since CX moved to Amadeus, we can be sure that the availability numbers we show reflects exactly what CX is reporting.

Revenue management can do anything they want with the availability numbers, the N could be there for some specific reason. If you email us the date and flight we can look into it to be sure.

N sub-class is for industry-discount (ID) tickets (i.e. staff tickets), if I remember correctly.

If this is really the case then it makes more sense, Thanks. ^

If they move the N inventory to X for me then I'll be even happier :D

I thought that's O class, though.

Oh, I recently bought an O class tic on BA website. Very cheap, though I believe that can't be ID fare

(or did I misunderstand? O class for BA may be different from O class for CX??)

Unless something has changed, O isn't ID ticket. I've bought O class ticket from CX website before.

I've bought CX tickets on N before (and not industry-discount). But that was years ago, maybe they changed it after sys migration?
