CX S class

Does anyone remember when CX started selling S class (SFO/LAX-HKG)?
I don't remember seeing S fares to HKG before the upgrade....

AFAIK - S class does not earn anything at all.

I think it is a way to "match" with SQ (SQ, for a long time, offers fare without FFP miles).

I'm pretty positive they were available a year ago to the States.

Also, I've flown S class on my non-mileage-earning "special" corporate fares. Biggest scam since my CX corporate fare costs more than SQ's corporate fare and SQ (which is arguably one of the stingiest mileage programs out there) gives full Star Alliance mileage credit on theirs.

CX's getaway specials might also be in S class. I don't bother even checking anymore since they don't earn miles and availability is always limited.

Nope, they are actually O and Q class.. yeah, they don't earn miles but they are way cheaper than S class.

For instance, an S class HKG to YVR costs almost $800 fare only, but an O class ticket they sold until Feb 29th cost only around $500 fare only.

About limited availability, really depends on the flight date and route..some are hard to get, while some are easier

The cheapest fare from YVR is using fare base VLCX6M.
