Inconsistent eligible upgrade class (CX vs. Asiamiles)

5. For Cathay Pacific, only fare classes W and R are eligible for Premium Economy to Business Class Upgrade Awards. (effective from 13 Febraury 2012 for flights departing from 1 April 2012)

For Cathay Pacific and Dragonair Upgrade Awards, only fare classes “Y, B, H” and “K” are eligible for Economy to Business Class Upgrade Award ; fare classes W, R and E on Cathay Pacific are eligible for Premium Economy to Business Class Upgrade Award; and fare classes “J, C, D” and “I” are eligible for Business to First Class Upgrade Award. Codeshare flights are not eligible.

Which one would be true? "W & R" OR "W, R & E"?

And, isn't is ridiculous that they demand the same amount of miles needed to upgrade a "econ to business" and "prem econ to business".

Good old CX IT... the left hand not knowing what the right is doing. Certainly no one here is going to know the answer since it's not one that can be derived from principle.

As to the second point, it's not that odd. Many airlines which allow Y to J upgrades do so only from the higher booking classes, and so simply treat the new Y+ buckets as extensions of those higher booking classes.

W, R, E are all typed by left hand if you have the correct typing position ... :P

I will give CX benefit of doubt of cutting over but let's see if it gets updated later ... Now just let me go though to reaching the ticketing hotline first before I got real mad, unable to change my ticket (or force me to go to their Shanghai office .... em .... ) .... :(

CX staff dares to put T class ticket to be a eligible class to accrue club miles. Did anyone fly with Cathay Econ Redemption ticket recently (the website said, "effective as of 15 November 2010"), so if you are one of them, you better call CX and ask them for some bonus miles. :P
