Upgrade - Y to J - availability check
Hi all,
Haven't had access to KVS tool for a while now, unfortunately. I'm booked to flight JFK-HKG-JFK in late December and late January, in Y, and obviously I want to upgrade to J, but it is peak season and I was wondering if anyone could check whether or not it's worth buying a YBHK ticket and trying to get J. I'm a CX SL, but this round trip will bring me up to GO once again! December 20, 2011: CX 841 January 30th, 2012: CX 888 Thanks! CX HK |
Both FLTs still have many seats left in J but, as you probably know, KVS cannot check UG inventory, which is different from regular award inventory (and that has no seat left for both FLTs). I would suggest OP to call MPO to check the availability.

I suggest:
1. Book your tkt via TA or CX tkt office & ask few more flights & hold the seats if they allow. 2. Ensure the booking class is YBHK 3. Confirm the last day to issue tkt & payment 4. Call MPC & tell them u want an upgrade redemption & your reference no. (Record Locator). 5. If upgrade seat available, issue your Y revenue tkt. If not, ask to put u on wait-list & u may request to wait-list on different flight no. 6. Call MPC again to issue your upgrade U class tkt. Good luck! P.S. Try not to change your tkt date otherwise u hv to do 1 to 6 again! |
