BA is your only choice assuming you are flying on CX

Well, he could take the AirTrain to AA Terminal and use the AA lounge if he wants.... :)

But wouldn't he have to clear security in the AA terminal with the wrong boarding pass?

BA lounge is the only option. The lounge itself is not bad, but the food is quite lackluster. No noodle bar as is custom at HKG and LHR :( one of my biggest disappointments regarding JFK.

BA it is then! :)

Agreed food is a laclustre at best. The only things they have a lot of is a lot of snacks, different chips, biscuits etc. Drink selection not bad. Free wifi. when I was there a couple of weeks ago, it was also not too full. I was in F lounge, but I actually moved to the J lounge as I prefered the space and brighter environment.

Are you sure you can go through security? I know you are JFK based, maybe you know something that we don't

Forgot about security. I am JFK-based, but it's more accurate to say I'm JFK T7-based. Haven't really travel on any other terminals in JFK (besides occasionally picking up relatives that insists on flying China Airlines rather than Cathay Pacific, and had to pick them up at T1)

If you don't mind me asking, why in the world would anyone prefer China Airlines over Cathay Pacific?

They prefer hard and fast "landings" on mountain tops as opposed to soft landings on tarmac?

Didn't you fly on AA a few months ago :p

I think CX really needs its own lounge at JFK since it's got so many flights daily (4x) and in the near future perhaps even a fifth!

National pride. Don't want to fly to Hong Kong for another connection. Cheaper tickets.

Not everyone is as picky as service and rather sacrifice additional 4-5 hours just to get them.

Yes, from LAX to EWR. If I'm going to fly AA it's going to be either EWR or PHL. Never JFK.

I agree but it will most probably never be done in T7. T7 is so small. I can get from the counter to the gate literally in 10 mins. or less. I would at least like to see dimsum or some kind of chinese dish incorporated in the BA lounge. ANA incorporates some japanese breakfast sushi rolls and hot towels, why not CX?!
