CX 710 J Class CMB/HKG

Is anyone familiar with the J service on this flight?

Dep CMB 12.40
Arr SIN 07.05
Dep 08.05
Arr HKG 12.00

ITA is showing only "Drinks" form CMB/SIN. What, no "full time" food request as CX has from YYZ/HKG in J?

Flew CMB-BKK once and was upgraded to J. In flight catering consisted of a main dish, some fruit, and a dessert. So don't worry - there would be a meal.

You should be aware that you have to deplane in Singapore. Also there is a strong likelihood that this will be the old regional J seats.

Yes, this is usually a regional service seating wise, so don't get excited for lie-flat beds. You may be lucky with an a/c change...fingers crossed.

NOTE:

Called CX, the metal is 773 not deplaning.

The flight number (710) stays the same into HKG with a scheduled 1 hour layover in SIN, whereas the other scheduled CMB/HKG flights through SIN on the 20th (7 more) have different flight numbers starting in SIN with layover times significantly longer - From 2 to 12 hours longer.

SUBJECT CHANGE

(REVISED: CX CS made it up, gave wrong answer).
Also, AA and the CX website are showing CX785 HKG/DPS with 74A metal but CX CS has said the flight is not using the long haul 747

(REVISED: Because CX only flies the 74A. Thanks "Top of climb")
OK, a bit confusing but SeatGuru nor the CX website do not have the CX 747 short haul seating configuration available.

I wouldn't bother. CMB can't be operated as a turnaround from HKG, so due to the layover patterns for the flight crew this flight never goes out as anything other than a regional two-class 773. No F.

I am pretty sure you will NEED to deplane on CX710. Its a rule of SIN not CX. Took this flight two weeks ago and they parked pretty close to the CX lounge in SIN. You can easily kill you hour on the ground in the lounge or browsing at shops.....

All CX 747s are in one configuration only: the long-haul 74A. However DPS is sold as a two-class 74A, so F is not sold.

Wow! Thanks for clearing all that up.

But now that I think about it, makes sense. CX would have to staff, load up food, goodies and booze for the F class.

Thanks.

Got it. OK, thanks. We'll prepare for deplaning.
