Linking PNRs
Typically in the past when I have had flights on CX, I have sent an email off to one of the CX sales groups (normally Australia) and asked for the PNRs to be linked and assigned seats at the same time. This because I have higher OW status than Mrs WF (ruby) and historically you needed an Asia Miles ID to get to a booking.
Well CX have changed that and either a booking reference or a ticket number will now get you into the booking. But I have never seen a "manage your boking" entry that will link a PNR. And I don't have the ticket numbers with me those being filed on a different computer. What aggravates me at the moment is that the sales group has referred me to MMB. Assuming that the new MMB will not link PNRs what is the next step up the sales/reservation chain? Thanks Fred |
You can't really 'link' two bookings together... you can however, cross reference one with another.
Call res up and just tell them to do so. Its not really called 'link'. Just tell them you would like your reservation cross referenced with the missus. |
I did ask for a cross-reference
Two plus days later I still have no reply - so I can only assume that CX will no longer provide agent-based reservation services for OW elites. The passage through the CX website was interesting. Firstly I needed to call AA as while I had a eticket number I did not have the CX PNR reference (only AA's). And the website only wants to know about CX and KA issued ticket numbers to find the reservation (and to update details other than seats). When I did get to the seat map with my wife's reservation the only available seats were in the front of the economy cabin. The entire back was either blocked or already assigned. Perhaps her OW Ruby status does account for something with CX. I selected her seat (with an empty adjacent) and then logged out and back in with my PNR. And the same seat selections (minus hers) were displayed. Of source, if there are disruptions, the fact that we are traveling together may or may not have been noted. And I have no way to indicate that she wishes her AA status to count for "status" and that we really want her flight credited to QF. So I will have a conversation with the TA that issued the ticket and changed/updated the flight. Suggestions / comments welcome. Wandering is getting complicated. Fred |
