HKG arrival carousel data
 

Once the aircraft started descent into HKG for landing CX used to post the baggage arrival carousel and connecting flight gates on the screen.
Recently I have not seen this available - is this just lazy ISMs or has it been discontinued ? It was very handy info.
I have done a Search but cannot find anything relevant.

It was still available in December when I flew TPE-HKG but then again, that was the old looping non-AVOD system.

A bit off topic but HKIA seems to have adjusted the Flight Information Display Boards, gate screens and baggage carousel screens to make it so that the operating airline flight number always shows while only the codeshares change (if multiple airlines codeshare). I personally like it since I used to constantly hear people asking why the flight number is different.

Was on 889 last week and it was available. I think it has more to do with a data uplink than the ISM.

It was still available in mid-Jan when I flew CX636 SIN-HKG.

Still available in late January on TPE-HKG

Saw it on CX250 arriving Jan 31

Saw it on the screen around July for AA codeshare flights on CX 830 HKG-JFK

I see it on almost all flights.

Was there today for my TPE-HKG flight, along with the arrival gate - 68. I hate gate 68! They also did a PA announcement on both carousel and gate.

Gate 68 is not that bad ... Gate 5xx is bad

5xx faster to immigration than 68 (if you get in the first bus)

I once saw people flying HKG PVG and connect onto BA showing at IFE (not baggage claim though)

HKG NRT I see quite a few JL connection but forgot if baggage claim was shown.

Was on cx722 on 1st Feb, the big screen in front of J.

Yup. And they showed AA connecting flight numbers and gates for connections.
