First first booking - flight check
I've just booking two legs in Cathay Pacific First Class (woohoo!) and wanted to get some input on the flights I've picked and if I should make any changes. These were miles bookings so they're flexible but I wanted to grab them to guarantee I had a seat rather than hold off.
I've read numerous posts here about certain flights having tired crew/poorer service/being less of an experience and would appreciate your input to make sure I avoid this. First flight is JFK - HKG, CX0841, departs 9:15 AM and arrives 2:25 PM. Second flight is HKG - LHR, CX0253, departs 2:40 PM, arrives 8:30 PM. Any advice is much appreciated! |
Going the long way around? Those connections the same day? If so i'm not sure why they let you book that short of a connection. Minimum connection time is 60 min

You sure you don't mean 841 ex-JFK? I've taken that flight a bunch of times in F, the timing works perfectly for me. Don't consume anything in the BA lounge, the food and drink onboard is better. If you're alone, try for one of the A side seats (1A or 2A), -- much more private.
Managed to reserve 1A for JFK - HKG and am currently in 2A for HKG - LHR following some advice via PM that 1A/K can seem a bit close together on the 747 if travelling alone. |
