CX codes on WestJet flights
 
Just noticed when booking online flights from TPE to YEG/YYC that CX 70** appears on the WestJet segments. Did I miss the announcement that they would be codesharing? I thought this was just an interline agreement. Anyone know anything further?

Wow! Good catch! Just searched via KVS and apparently the code-share starts on 20OCT. The code-share also covers YVR-YYZ, YVR-YUL, YVR-YWG, YYZ-YHZ, YYZ-YOW, YYZ-YUL and v. v.

How does this work for points? I imagine I can't claim BA points for these, but can I claim points with CX for flying YOW-YYZ-YVR? Or would that only work as part of a flight to HKG such as YOW-YYZ-HKG?

I think it is NO for the domestic one as WestJet is not an Asiamiles Partner nor it is listed as partner in Partner FFP http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_HK/ffp/others, and CX should not be allowed to sell flight for Canada all-domestic flight (only as an International tag-on)

You will earn points for the domestic segment as it has a CX code.
