Showers at MEL for arrivals?
Not really about miles and points, except that this is an award ticket.
I have an award ticket from Europe to Melbourne in August, in First, on CX. (I realize the leg from HKG through ADL to MEL is two-class, essentially Business and the class on the ticket says "U", but the miles paid for the award is based on First and I am in First on Europe to HKG and back if that matters.) It's a long trip, and I'm meeting people shortly after I deplane but before I get to a hotel. Here's the question: Is there an "Arrivals" amenity at MEL that allows (gratis) showers for pax in my situation? If so, how do I access it? If there is none, I may have to find something during the layover in HKG and hit the deodorant just before landing in MEL. Thanks for any guidance. |
No arrivals facility but according to the MEL website there are public showers in T2.

Thanks. Darn.
There's a six-hour layover in HKG. I'll be coming in in First, but won't be terminating there. Is there a shower facility CX pax have access to at HKG? Preferably air-side so I wouldn't need to go through immigration (and security)? |
There are very nice shower facilities in the CX lounges at HKG.

Thanks!
Are the lounges on air-side? (i.e., an incoming passenger wouldn't have to pass through customs/immigration to get to them, and wouldn't have to pass through security when going from the lounge to the plane.) |
Yes , the lounges are at air side...U should be able to use the F lounge...just show therm ur incoming F boarding pass even ur connecting is on J

Not just showers... if you get into the F side of the Wing then you've the option of a bath...

A bath! Fantastic; just right after the long flight! Thanks.
Thank you all for the information and fast responses. FlyerTalkers are really great. |
