CX first timer - about to fly in F....
 

Hi I've never flown CX but think i'm about to book LHR - HGK in F. If so, any tips? I'm thinking about the flight that leaves LHR at either 20.20 or 18.20 arriving into HGK at either 15.30 or 13.10 the next day, returning on the 15.00 HGK departure arrives LHR 21.00. Are these good flights in which to experience the whole CX First class offering? Any advice on seats i shoudl be trying to secure etc. I'm only away in HK for a couple of days so wont be doing a total adjustment to that time zone - probably pull forward my waking up time etc by about 4 hours rather than the full 7.

I fly this route on CX several times/year. For my money, either departure time is fine, but definitely go for the 74A over the 77A. Much different (and IMO better) experience, and it looks as though the 744s won't be around forever. If you're traveling alone, either seat in row 2 will be perfect.
