Which status to use for waiting list?
 

I'm on waiting list for CDG-HKG next week in J. Right now it is F2A2J0D0

Which status gives me a higher priority on their waitlist? BA Gold or CX Silver?

You can ask MPC, although I don't know if they can tell you. My feeling is that CX SL has a higher priority. When I was a CX SL, I once booked my family of four on an almost full flight (but on Y) aroung CNY and got cleared in two days.

I do think it's obvious that OW Emerald will have higher priority, even over CX's own frequent flyers.

Priority is usually (op-up etc.):
CX Diamond
OW Emerald
CX Gold
OW Sapphire
CX Silver
OW Ruby
CX Green

OW Emerald

While I think (my own guess) that OW Emerald would have higher priority than CX Silver, it's by no means safe to assume that the waitlist priority list is the same as the op-up priority list.

The two priority lists may be different, and since neither are published, we don't really know for sure.

While it is clear that CX Gold is higher than OW Emerald (as CX Gold has guaranteed bookings at least for YBHKMLV), we don't know anything really for sure about Silver.

All you'll get is a bunch of guesses.

You could call MPC and ask, and if they do give you an answer either way, please let us know.
