CX / traveling with pets
hi all,
anyone have any recent experience taking pets on a long haul CX flight? I know that AA has some extensive info (and restrictions!) on their site, but I don't see much on the CX site. AA - traveling with pets CX - traveling with pets thanks! pat |
The Pet Owners Forum over at Geoexpat has various threads on this and people there who could advise on specific questions. But the short answer is that they go as cargo (unless they are a guide dog with its guidee).

How to get water on without spilling? Easy, froze it as ice and let it melt when the cage is safely seated in the cargo area. 4) When you get on the plane remind the ISM to remind the Pilot to turn on air circulation in cargo bay area. It is a standard procedure when pets are on board but I have heard horror stories that sometimes the pilot forgot and bypass this step. This is needed in older model planes, not sure about newer model planes like 777 5) Make sure to apply for animal import permit with HK gov't and get familiar with what they do to your dog when it gets there (no you don't pick it up, they put it away somewhere to make sure it is healthy and most importantly rabbies free) |
