Renewal Dates

Hey all,

Just a quick question to someone who can help me =)

On my Marco Polo statement it says my "Membership Details (20 Feb 2009-28 Feb 2010)"

I'm currently Silver and looking to get some more miles to renew silver, however, do I have to get these miles before 28 Feb? Or is it 20 Feb? I know it says one year from the date of renewal... but the statement says "-28 Feb 2010"

Thanks everyone!

28 Feb 2010, i.e., one year plus the remaining days in the month of renewal.

I have seen this clause in my MPC statement:

Crediting date of your activity is used to determine your
current membership status.

As such, I believe any flights taken after 28 Feb (which is the last date of your membership year) will not be taken into account for current membership renewal status since flights are usually credited a couple of days later. Am I right on this?

?
A CX flight on 27 Feb will be credited on 1st March (in most cases).
If your membership expiration date is 28Feb, those miles are not counted for renewal.
Strictly speaking, for renewal, miles should be credited on or before 28Feb.
Be careful for partner flight credits. Those may take a week or more.
However, you can contact the Club Service Center to extend your membership period for renewal.

I haven't experienced it myself but I'm quite sure in cases like this, where you have indeed flown that segment before the end of the month but it just hasn't been credited yet - I'd expect CX would be happy to count that towards your old membership year. just need a call or an email to sort this out.
