FlightAware Arrivals for CX

Flying CX879 on Friday and been trying to track the trend of when these flights arrive in HKG. Trying to gage how often they have to stop for additional fuel. Why does FlightAware rarely have the landing time? They indicate anything from total flight time of 5 hours to 23 hours to NA???

Anybody have any ideas on how often the flight has to re-route for fuel? where does it typically stop?

Thanks!

FlightAware culls it's information from the FAA system. Any flights filed outside of North American airspace will have inaccurate data.

try to track the flight on Cathay's website...not sure how far back you can go...but definitely one day..so if you have some days..just check daily.

Thanks. Didn't realize the FAA was the provider of that information. Yes, I've used Cathay Pacific, but doesn't go back very far.

I've seen one other post about potential stopivers / re-routes due to fuel to Tapei. Is that the usual location if needed?

I have taken this flight a couple of times in the past 12 months and never had any fuel stops. Fuel stops are more common when there is a strong head wind during the winter months. Also, now is not a high season for pax and cargo. I don't think you will encounter a fuel stop.

Yes...from NA Taipei is the preferred fuel stop....however if the routing is more North and East they will use ICN.

I've had the fuel stop a few times from LAX (one went to TPE, the rest to ICN), but never out of SFO. The headwinds have to be pretty horrific to have a fuel stop from SFO.
