June 2018 reward stays
I have no experience with Carlson but since my usual standbys IHG, Marriott and Hilton have no hotels in Norway I started stockpiling Carlson points for a June 2018 visit. I even got the credit card. Now that I have the points I am trying to book rooms 10 months in advance and in Trondheim, Alesund, and Oslo am finding hotels have zero rewards nights-- anywhere! Am I looking too early or have I made a huge mistake with Carlson?

For most part you're looking too early. Recently Club Carlson added wording to their points redemption offer to limit future reservations to only 270 days out.
INSTRUCTIONS:
No points/miles awarded
1 night minimum stay required.
Must book within 270 days of arrival.
