Wow, I wasn't around for the last deal but now I will, so please explain. Are these 50.000 points only once or for each stay? Do you still get the regular points?

You had to be one of the 50,000 people to register. Last year, it took a very long time for all of the registrations to be taken. However, it was limited to the US last year.

If you do not have status with Club Carlson, the will status match you. This gives an additional 1,000 bonus points for booking online.

It will be interesting to see the Ts and Cs. Last winter, it was 50K points. This one speaks of a free night. It would certainly still be valuable but it potentially has an expiration date.
