I'm very excited to have a trip booked out for SXM in December. My sisters and I would visit every year and had to stop in 2015 when my father died of cancer, then came the pandemic and the year following that a double lung cancer diagnosis. My surgeries and treatment are over, things are stable and have a ticket in hand. Now on a countdown and can't wait.
For those of you who have been more recently - how is the airport and island recovering? I believe a lot of restaurants have closed, what are your favorites to visit now? Ready to relax and unwind on my favorite island of the Caribbean.

La Playa Orient Bay
I tried to reply earlier but it doesn't appear to have posted. La Playa Orient Bay is highly rated and within walking distance to the nude beach. I would definitely rent a car, there are lots of beaches and restaurants to explore.
