PUJ to Dominicus: Drive or take a cab?
I have a vacation planned in the Dominicus area, arriving to PUJ. Since it is the first time I didn't book a prepackaged vacation including the hotel transfer, I have to take care of it myself. There are 2 options - book a transfer with one of the specialized companies or rent a car. Renting a car would make us mobile at the resort, expand our possibilities. Using my National free days it would cost about the same as the paid transfer. However, is it safe for a tourist to drive around the DR? Opinions are highly appreciated.
