Transit Barbados
A quick search of this forum doesn't reveal anything recent so I wondered if there's any current information about transit procedures and time through Barbados. My connection time as ticketed is 1h55m on the outbound leg and 2h10m on the return.
Some rifling through the internet reveals what reads like a horror show of terrible service, long queues, security searches that are borderline assault, etc. etc. I'm hoping I'm reading about edge cases rather than the norm!
I'm getting the impression that we will have to land, collect luggage, and check in again.
Any hints and tips before I book the tickets and hand over my hard-earned cash would be gratefully received.

I am considering a mileage run into Barbados and then hoping to leave again and the same plane. The departure time is slated to be one hour after the arrival.
I wouldn't have any checked bags so is it is possible to do this? On arrival do I have to clear customs if I an transiting right out of the country?

My last time through BGI was pre-covid, but back then there was a dedicated connections lane in the immigration hall on the right side when you enter. This will get your through passport control quickly, only to be waiting at the baggage carousel and often queuing for Customs. It is a short walk from the Customs exit to the check-in desks.

It would be helpful if you provided airlines details, but it almost all cases you will need to collect luggage and check-in with your onward carrier.
