Long weekend alone in Bermuda?

Hi - I might be starting a new job soon and was thinking of taking a long weekend (3-4 days) solo in between. I'd been thinking of Philly or even LA but then got to thinking that Bermuda might be nice. That said, I've never been and know it's low season - would I as a single guy find stuff to do at night? I'm not looking for raging nightlife (far from it), but a nice pub or two where I can grab drinks and talk to some youngish people, maybe live music...?

I really know very little about Bermuda, other than it looks beautiful and is a short flight from me. But the stereotype that it appeals primarily to rich, older North Americans going to play golf can't be totally true, or can it?

Any and all comments greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've been to Bermuda many times, always on business, but I have found a bit of time to explore. My suggestions:

Walk around Hamilton. https://www.gotobermuda.com/article/...n-walking-tour There are lots of small restaurants/pubs along Front Street.
Royal Navy Dockyard. https://www.gotobermuda.com/our-island/west-end
Aquarium. https://www.bermuda-attractions.com/bermuda_00002c.htm
Oldest town is St. George's. https://www.gotobermuda.com/our-island/east-end
If you stay at either Fairmont Property, there is a free ferry between the two hotels. It's a great trip on a clear day and allows you to see parts of Bermuda you wouldn't otherwise see. The downtown Fairmont, the Princess, has a "Beach Club", which is quite lively on Thursdays and Fridays.

Book a hotel early. Room supply is limited and hotels in Bermuda are expensive as a result.
PS Tourists are not able to rent cars in Bermuda. You will understand once you get there.

When are you planning on going? If this is within the next few weeks, I'd check the weather because it may not be that warm yet, and the beaches are obviously a big reason to go. It's only off the coast of North Carolina.

It would be end of March - although given the current virus situation, I might not be able to do it until later in the year. Swimming in the ocean isn't really a key driver for me; I'd be happy just to be somewhere pretty and quiet, find a nice inn to relax at and go bicycling around.

Bumping my thread from 3.5 years ago here...

I never made it to Bermuda in 2020 due to the pandemic, but this week I spontaneously booked a flight for next month to use up a DL voucher. So I've got a couple of questions:

I booked a room at Inverurie Executive Suites, which looks very nice, is centrally located, and gets extremely positive reviews. Anyone have any experience with this place? Alternative recommendations? Fourways Inn is nearby and seems like it might be another good option.

Also, if I stay at Inverurie or nearby, is it possible to walk safely to the beach? It seems there aren't a lot of sidewalks, and I've read traffic can be bad. It seems absurd to have to take a cab half a mile, but I wanted to check. I mean, there is a ferry right there, and people are presumably walking to and from it, no?

Is the cave place worth going to? It seems pretty cool, and for some reason it keeps drawing me in.

Also, anyone know if I can buy a bus/ferry pass at the airport? From what I'm reading online, it seems maybe not, but that seems odd to me, especially if there's a tourist office there.

Thanks for any insight you can share! And please feel free to offer any tips or suggestions on other Bermuda-related matters. I appreciate any and all advice. 😃

We went to Bermuda towards the end of Covid because it was one of the first places to open back up. They have a nice new airport. We stayed at the Rosewood and loved it. Also enjoyed the food at many different places. Easy to get to from eastern US. We loved it.
