Situation in Bahamas after hurricane Dorian

How is Bahamas now? Is anyone here who lives there or smth? I have my trip booked to Bahamas in couple of months, I'm wondering will they be able to recover until then?

Depends upon which island you are going to.

2 islands sustained major damage. The town of Freeport is probably going to be a mess for a while.

But if you going to Nassau, I don't think they sustained much damage.

Which Part of the Bahamas are you planning to Visit?
Nassau is the Main City and was not impacted by the Hurricane, The only other two islands that were affected is Grand Bahama and Abaco.
I hope this answer your Question, I say this because this is coming from a Resident.

Nassau, Paradise Island, Exumas are all fine. Go, spend money. Tourism is their main source of income. And donate while you are there.

Has anyone seen any details from Freeport? I'm looking for post-hurricane photos. In particular, I spent a lot of time at Freeport Resort & Club as a child and would like to know if it's still there and what shape it's in.
