Caribbean airport closures after irma

I'm seeing a pic of PLS under water. I'm sure many of the resorts have the capacity to rebuild quickly but not sure about TCI govt given all they've been through. Know other airports were destroyed as well. I searched for updates/estimates of reopening dates. It it's all speculation at this point. Anyone w inside info?

SXM is open for humanitarian/rescue service only. It is being managed by the Dutch military. Commercial service expected late this week at the earliest. Also worth noting that SXM's ATC controls for a couple other small airports in the area. None handle flights from anywhere other than nearby islands so not a major impact to have them closed right now, but significant. SBH is open again.

St. Croix is open and operating as a staging ground for relief flights in the area.

STT is closed to passenger traffic. Second hand report from someone who cancelled a Delta ticket is that Delta said they doubted flights would resume by October.

Wow...that's surprising! (And encouraging, given how hard that island was hit.)

PLS has had aid and evacuation flights. The runway is sloped and drains well. Many hotels and intact, but most are without power so if tourists were to arrive, there is no where to put them. EIS has had aid flights, but Tortola is in very, very bad shape. AXA airport is operational, not sure about their stock of hotel rooms.

Informative post from FlightCentre.ca with a Canadian focus but does list many hotels and their re-opening dates or not as the case may be.
