Hi.I'm traveling anole next month to Punta Cana. First traveling alone and I'm 23 years old. I will like to do some tours. What tour companies can anybody recommend me? And what tours are good for a solo traveler?

Try emailing the hotel to see if they can send you a list of the tours/prices offered at the excursion desks, that way you can compare with the prices online. For online agency tours, Amstar DMC has an excellent reputation, so you can check their different packages.

As far as tours, I recommend you:
- Isla Saona (Speedboat / Catamaran with a stop in the natural swimming pool)
- Samana (El Limon waterfalls and Rincon Beach)
- Santo Domingo, not to be missed
- Altos de Chavon
- Ojo Indigena Lagoon (inside the Punta Cana complex, very cool place)
- ATV excursions

Anything else in the DR will be far away from Punta Cana and will most likely take an entire day.

Hi Dioly, first of all I think you shouldn't miss an excursion to Saona island. Beside Saona there are many tours available that are 100% suitable for solo travelers. I suggest you check out SeavisTours, it's a company based in Bayahibe but they do pick ups from all the hotels in Punta Cana.

Oh and also - I suggest you skip the excursions offered by the hotel. They are usually waaaayyy more expensive than the ones you can find outside of the resort. If you choose not to go with SeavisTours I suggest you do some research on TripAdvisor to find the best excursion companies.
