Do AU's have access to use the account's $300 annual travel credit? (understood it's not a separate credit per AU)

I believe they do. Also this credit is only for purchases on C1's travel portal.

I guess the better question is if reservations can be made on C1's travel portal, but under AU's name?

us FTers are savvy enough, but an ordinary traveler would have a bit of a surprise day-of and, very rightfully, not be happy.

Good to hear about a positive CS experience though.

Also, i read the terms for the travel credit and it is not clear enough to me if it is on a cardmember anniversary basis or calendar basis.
In other words, do i need to use it by 12/31 this year?
blogs Ive read say its anniversary year, not calendar year, so no rush to use.

It's card anniversary year. No double dipping.

Does anyone know if the $300 travel credit reset on calendar year or card membership year? I'm hoping to double dip this year and next year for $600 of credit in my first year of the card.

Edit: nevermind, I saw the above.

Can the $300 travel bonus per year be use to book hotel for someone else other than the card holder? For example, if I have the card, I can use it to book hotel room for my brother?

I don't see anything wrong with that as long the charge is made on your card.

Is the $300 statement credit per year ( meaning one for 2021 and 2022 ) or one per card anniversary year?

I made two flight purchases totaling over $300 on the portal and the $300 credit posted three days later.

Thoughts on the ability to use miles to offset the charge that triggers the $300 travel credit? I purchased a plane ticket that was $430 on the Cap1 portal and redeemed points for $130 so the net travel charge on my statement will be $300. I assume that I will get the annual credit to offset that charge. But will it be possible to then use existing points to go back and offset that $300 charge? I will give it a try but my statement does not close until 12/21.

You will owe 525 dollars yes . Better to pay it off rather than enrich cap 1 and the 16.9 % to 330.9% apr even though fed borrowing rates is less than 5%being generous here. Usury should be a crime and is against several religions laws supposedly .

I'm not sure whether this is a response to me and what you've posted is largely incoherent, but in case I wasn't clear the question is this.

Book a vacation rental that you are not sure you are going to be able to go to for $600. $600 charged to your card, with a $200 statement credit.

You cancel. What happens? I assume that you get a refund of $600 but then the credit is clawed back.

My question: Do you then get a chance to re-use the credit that was clawed back?

My fundamental question: How sure of your rental do you need to be to avoid losing the $200 credit if you will not get it back?
