Air New Zealand - New CP Partner
AIR NEW ZEALAND - NEW CANADIAN PLUS PARTNER
Effective May 1, 2000 Canadian Plus members can enjoy the benefits
of a fully reciprocal frequent flyer partnership with Air New
Zealand (NZ). NZ will provide new destinations to accrue and redeem
points with an extensive international network within South Pacific
Islands, Australia and between North America and New Zealand. As
well, they operate domestic flights within New Zealand. CPlus
members will accrue CPlus points on NZ-operated flights that will
count as qualifying miles towards their tier status within the CPlus
program. Business Class passengers as well as Exec. Platinum and
Gold members will have access to Business class check-in and NZ
airport lounges when travelling on flights operated by CDN or NZ. NZ
Air Points members will be eligible to accrue and redeem their
program points on CDN flights. Additional details on this new
partnership will be published in the May/June CPlus newsletter, on
the Website and in the June enRoute magazine.

An excellent airline to start the process of expanding the network of airlines Cplus members can redeem miles on. My feeling is that they will not go beyond those carriers which already have a relationship with Air Canada (for obvious reasons). But it is a show of faith as far as I am concerned. It's a start.

Great!
It is the first time I hear something about STAR members jumping on board. This is good news. With the June 1st deadline coming fast, some travel plan have to be planned and I am wondering if CP will join with other STAR members around that time. Any ideas about that Fly Girl?
