Talked to the EP desk today,

“ Yes we can do confirmed upgrades from 3rd April”.says she
“Good”, says I, “do I do it through you”.
“Well”, says she, “you do if it’s a CP flight or it is a code share with a CP Number”.
“What”, says I, “do I do if it’s an AC flight, as all the convenient flights from LHR are now all AC”
“Ah”, says she,”you have to book the upgrade with AC and not with us”
“How should I do that?” says I
“You Phone Them” says she
“What number” says I
“They Haven’t told us” says she
“Great” says I with a sigh
“Sorry” says she “perhaps they will tell us soon, or possible not”

So do I just phone AC Reservations and hope for the best, or will they tell us the SuperElite number so we can talk with people who have a vague idea at least, of what to do.

SuperElites of course have the problem in reverse.

Any one with any ideas???????

Or shall I prepare the wall near my desk for Head Banging!!!!

Totally bewildered and befuddled,
Stewart.

The SE desk gave me the impression (not confirmation) that I could do it through them....

I'm wild again, beguiled again,
A whimpering, simpering child again.
Bewitched, bothered and bewildered am I...

For once I got a decent EP agent who was able to get the job done for me:

Called this morning for a YYZ - YVR booking departing Sat and returning Mon which means a N fare.

Told them what flight numbers I wanted as i did some checking before hand to see which flights have light loadings in J. Ended up connecting through YEG going and YYC back. There were only 2/12 on YYZ - YEG - YVR and 2/12 YVR - YYC and 4/24 on YYC - YYZ. She suggested me to upgrade using Black Stickers and I told her no I wanted to use gray as it is already within the 100 hr. She went on and upgraded me all the way to YVR and put me on the queue list for my return.

I'll definetly post my travel experience later when I return as this is my first flight back on CP in 3 weeks.

LOL

Catman want's to have "Flyertalk The Movie" so maybe we could look at "Flyertalk The Musical" and that can be the Theme Song.

I would have to be a Tradgi-Comedy-Horror,
Miss Saigon meets the Rocky Horror Show, with a score by Gilbert & Sullivan.

Empress....

Is there something strange about this experience? Seems normal to me?

Yes, Dorian.... It's usually normal. However, after trying 3 weeks, close to 15 unsuccessful attempts to book a N weekend fare and upgrade prior to departure, it will seem strange. So now i have 3 weeks worth of meetings in this 1 weekend.
